The Third Battle

Life is full of battles.

Book of Genesis 39:1-6

Joseph encountered battles. His first battle was when his brothers wanted to kill him, but they were unsuccessful. Joseph is still encountering a battle because he is still a prisoner.

I need to ensure that no matter the battle or how hard it might be, I must never leave the presence of The Lord.

The Lord was with Joseph, and specifically, people such as Potiphar were also able to see that The Lord was with him. It was visible in both the spiritual and physical realm.

There must be evidence. Though I may be in a battle, my enemies ought to know that The Lord is with me. Though The Lord was with Joseph, he himself was not prospering - Potiphar was, because Joseph was still a slave.

There are things men must see around me, both in the spiritual and natural realm, and these things will speak on my behalf. Joseph did not have to state that he was a Hebrew and that God was with him.

I need to know and believe that The Lord is with me.

How did Potiphar see that God was with Joseph? Naturally, he saw success and prosperity in all Joseph did, but what about the spirit realm? Because Potiphar saw The Lord, but the Bible states that The Lord is Spirit.

Question: In the realm of the spirit, what spirit goes and walks around me?

A spirit must be welcomed, whether the Holy Spirit or an evil one. If you don’t welcome them, they will not force themselves on us.

An evil spirit will always come to try me, but I do not have to let them in - whether at the door of my mind, emotions, feelings, or decisions. I do not have to open the door.

The Spirit of God has to be welcomed - we can reject any other spirit that chooses to walk with us.

God will bless people through us when we choose to walk with God alone and none other, just as Joseph brought blessings upon Potiphar’s household.

We will see prosperity and favour when we walk with The Spirit of God. Throughout May, we should continue to worship and praise Him.

Regardless of my current reality, The Lord must be seen, and the Spirit of God ought to be seen in my life.

In every battle, because The Lord is with me, I must expect success, because in God there is no defeat. I should never expect the enemy to defeat me. Success and victory come from God Himself.

Spirits do not understand any other language but the language of sacrifice. Whether looking to God or the devil - sacrifice is always required. Jesus says we must kill the flesh and sacrifice our body. Jesus died for us and was a sacrifice for us.

To be successful in this world, I need to walk with God, and He will prosper me regardless of the battle I am in.

When I am a person with the Spirit of God, I will experience the increase of what God and His Spirit will bring into my life.

Book of Zechariah 1:17

Book of Judges 19, 20, 21Book of Judges 20:12-41

In every battle, I must never engage without Judah. Judah means praise - I must never fight any battle without praise coming out of my mouth.

Many battles I have been going through make it seem like my praise is not breaking through - but I need to recognise that in a war there are many battles. Just as Judah went first, although they went first, they were defeated. They lost the second battle too, but they did not abandon the house of God. Even after the second battle, they came before The Lord.

But in the third battle, the Israelites were victorious.

Now The Lord says this is our third battle.

In the house of Potiphar was Joseph’s second battle, and the third was when he went to prison - but in prison he then became free.

The battle I am in right now is my third battle, and God will give me victory and success - this battle I am in is the one that is going to lead me to prosperity.

This is the Word of The Lord.

Amen.
