Mark 11:24
What’s the formula of prayer? We pray the desire and will of our Father.
Prayer is like a circle -it doesn’t begin with us, but with God. It comes down to earth where we are, and then goes back to the Lord, completing a full circle. True prayer, therefore, is that whatever we ask for in prayer is granted to us because it aligns with “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” This is what Jesus was referring to.
It is about the Father’s will -what He wants and what brings pleasure to His heart. This December, the Lord desires praise, and that praise must come from us. But we are not done praising until we see the tangible manifestation. And we must believe -not just in the mind, but in action, because believing is something we do, not just what we think.
Believing in Greek, pistēō, is something we do -it’s a verb.
Believing isn’t just about sitting and expecting what God said to come to pass automatically. We must plan, write things down, be proactive, and do something in response to God’s word, knowing it will come to pass. Simply sitting and praying isn’t enough -we must act. We lose our faith because we’re not working on it.
Believing is something we do, and it is expressed through confessing what we believe. If I believe, I must ask myself: What am I doing about it? Why is this important? Because in this month of praise (hallelujah), God wants us not only to believe but also to praise, for there is power in our confession.
I am not confessing my own will or desires, but what God has revealed in the realm of the Spirit. I am confessing my reality. As I speak, my words carry authority; they carry spirit and life. They are not empty. The entire atmosphere around me begins to receive the Word of God and aligns with it, bringing about transformation because I continue speaking, declaring, and releasing what already exists in the Spirit.
For what God has spoken is already done, and His will is established. He desires someone to partner with Him. Since it is spoken in heaven, it is already manifested there -and on earth, there must be a channel (us) who remains consistent, diligent, and persistent.
The more I act on God’s word, the more I combat unbelief and doubt. The enemy will always try to fight the word that God gives me, so by acting on God’s word, I counter everything the enemy attempts to do. Whenever a word from God is released into my life, I must be prepared to go to war.
The Lord says that in this month of praise, I must continue to believe -to speak and to act. I must find out what I need to do, and if there is nothing practical I can do, then the least I can do is continue to speak and release God’s word continuously and persistently.
Speak what God has given -the word, the revelation, and what He has said will happen -and enter into praise.
God is instructing us to release praise through songs, hymns, thanksgiving, and gratitude for who He is and what He has spoken concerning our lives.
Praise in Hebrew means “to shine.” As I praise Him, I will shine, and His light and glory will come upon me. Situations filled with darkness will change and receive the light of God, which comes when we praise Him.
God wants us to praise Him and enter times of praise with our voice. When we praise, we emanate light. God doesn’t look only at our mouths, but at our hearts as well. And the enemy will test us, trying to make us question ourselves and fall into doubt.
Mark 11:22–24The moment I begin to speak, doubt will come and I can’t allow it to get the better of my emotions.
Amen.
